How eNPS is calculated
  1. eNPS is the employee version of the Net Promoter Score (Fred Reichheld, Bain & Company, 2003). People answer from 0 to 10 how likely they are to recommend the company as a place to work. PapaHR takes the share who answered 9–10 (promoters) and subtracts the share who answered 0–6 (detractors). The result runs from −100 to +100. Above 0 is fine, +30 or more is excellent, below 0 means there are more detractors than promoters. Answers are anonymous: we show results only once at least 3 people have answered.

How to calculate eNPS

Take the share of people who gave 9 or 10 (promoters) and subtract the share of those who gave 0 to 6 (detractors). Scores of 7 and 8 are not counted. The result ranges from −100 to +100.

What is a good eNPS

Above 0 is decent, +30 and higher is excellent. Below 0 means there are more detractors than promoters: read the answers to the open questions — the reasons are there.

How often to run it

Once a quarter. That way you see how the mood changes, and it is easy to compare departments and quarters with each other.
